What is Upwards Flag football

Welcome to Flag Football at Winfield Baptist Church! We are excited to host this Upward sport as we seek to continuously engage our surrounding communities with the Gospel message and provide a safe place for families to engage with each other through sports.

Flag Football is a fun and fast-paced sport that combines the excitement of traditional American football with far less contact. No tackling permitted! For Upwards Flag Football, more than one team per age group may practice and play under the same coaches. This is to promote fairness, encourage consistent social interaction between players and their teams, and promote a healthy competitive spirit.

Practices start the week of August 17th. First games are on August 29th and the season ends on October 24th. We will be doing three evaluation days, your family only needs to attend one:

Evaluation Day 1: Saturday, July 18th, 9:30am-12:00pm

Evaluation Day 2: Friday, August 7th, 6:30pm-8:00pm

Evaluation Day 3: Saturday, August 8th, 9:30am-12:00pm
